Two people were found safe in Lake Pleasant after their kayaks overturned and they were reported missing Wednesday afternoon, officials said. Peoria Fire-Medical Department officers responded to a call saying that a man and a woman, both 19, had overturned in their kayaks in choppy waves with winds at 15 to 20 mile per hour, the department said. Another 19-year-old woman who was with the other two was able to stay in her kayak as the other two boats were swept away from the man and woman. The woman lost sight of the other two and flagged down a speedboat that took her to the marina to call rescuers, the department said.
