VIDEO: A 3-year-old boy has died after drowning in a pool in the backyard of a north Phoenix home, officials said. Phoenix firefighters took the boy to Phoenix Children’s Hospital after responding to a report of a drowning just before noon, according to Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Jake Van Hook. The drowning occurred in a residential neighborhood near Thunderbird Road and Seventh Street. Officials didn't have further information about how the child made his way into the pool.
