The Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department (QCFMD) is celebrating 10 years of service, and Fire Chief Ron Knight has been with the department every step of the way. With Knight, Ronmore than 40 years in the fire service, Chief Ron Knight has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2018. Deputy Fire Chief Vance Gray has been named QCFMD’s new fire chief, effective July 1, 2018. “Ron has been an integral component to the success and growth of the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department,” stated Town Manager John Kross. “The Town is committed to succession planning to ensure our residents and businesses continue to receive quality services and continuity of care. We are fortunate to have an outstanding Deputy Chief who will provide excellent leadership and a smooth transition.”
