A Phoenix park ranger was the first to the scene of a house fire near 15th Street and Hatcher Road Monday afternoon and helped evacuate an occupant and his dogs. Neighbors called 911 after hearing a loud explosion and then seeing smoke and fire. Phoenix firefighters arrived on scene and put out the fast moving fire, keeping it from spreading to surrounding homes. Nobody was injured in the fire. Phoenix Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
