This is the sixth consecutive year NCFMD was recognized for an achievement for excellence in financial reporting. The award is presented by the Government Finance Association. Only two other fire districts in Arizona received this CAFR recognition. CFA officials said NCFMD always published an easily readable and efficiently organized CAFR. Mary Dalton, Arizona Fire & Medical Authority, complimented Diane Goke, AFMA finance manager, for her work on the reports. NCFMD was a separate entity until last year when it became part of the AFMA. NCFMD had received this recognition for five years before joining the AFMA.
