A woman was arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire destroyed her daughter’s apartment and killed two dogs. Ofelia Gray, 72, was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of arson of an occupied structure, criminal damage and two counts of animal cruelty. No humans were injured in the blaze, officials said. The occupant of the adjoining unit was home but was not injured. Gray told police she had been living with her daughter for a few months, said Emily Fromelt, Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman. She reportedly told police she was angry with her family and wanted to go back to California and that she set a phone book on fire using the stove and put the flaming book on a couch. The fire ignited the living room and kitchen, Fromelt said. Gray had her bags packed and walked out, leaving the two dogs inside.
