One could not have asked for a better day to celebrate the new emergency department director of Copper Queen Community Hospital (CQCH) and honor local first responders. In the shade of old trees and with a light breeze making shadows dance, Bisbee firefighter/EMTs joined with the Arizona Life Line helicopter crew and CQCH staff from Bisbee, Douglas and Palominas to enjoy the annual barbecued chicken and pork ribs lunch on Friday. Jessica Ogiba, CQCH public information officer, thought it was the 10th year for the event. “We are glad to do this,” she said.
