VIDEO: A young mother was killed in a house fire as doctors work to save her toddler son. Family says 19-year-old Angel Coffman was home with her, baby boy, Christopher Diaz, almost 2, when flames broke out. Angel’s mom says her sister, Thalia, and Thalia’s boyfriend were also home, but they escaped through a window and climbed to the roof. A neighbor, Samson Reneau, saw them on the roof and used his ladder to help them down. The fire was on the right side of the window so my first reaction was go and get the ladder and jump over the wall and help them down," said Samson. "Uhhh….I prayed before I did that," he added. Unfortunately, Angel stayed inside. The family says firefighters were able to pull her out, but not soon enough. She was taken to the Arizona Burn Center, where she later died.
