Citing his experience elsewhere and reputation in the fire service, the Bullhead City Fire District governing board has named Patrick Moore fire chief. “The board felt that he was a good fit for the department,” Chairman David Cummings said Wednesday. “His past experience as a fire chief played a part, (as did) his budget experience. He’s highly respected in the fire community in Arizona.” Moore was named interim chief in June. He replaces Rick Southey, who retired effective June 1. Moore was chief of the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire Department for 71/2 years before joining the BHCFD in January. He also has taught budget classes at the Arizona Fire Training Association. “I am excited to have been selected to lead the BCFD,” Moore said.
