The Timber Mesa Fire & Medical District (TMFMD) board voted unanimously in favor of accepting a letter from the White Mountain Lake Fire District to consider consolidation with them at their regular monthly board meeting, Monday, Sept. 24. The agenda item regarding possible consolidation follows a late-August report recommending consolidation by White Mountain Lake Fire District Administrator John Flynn. The consolidation study, required by law, stated that “ongoing operating costs [for WMLFD] will exceed available recurring revenues for each of the fiscal years following the current fiscal year (FY19).”
