A two-alarm fire at a recycling center in Stockton kept firefighters busy for more than five hours Friday morning. Stockton City Fire Dept. Chief Operator Arthur Ray said the fire broke out at the center at 2435 E Weber Ave. around 12:15 a.m. Ray said firefighters arrived to find burning recyclables around the center putting out heavy smoke and shooting flames 15 feet into the air. The actual building was not burned, according to Ray. No information was provided on a possible cause.
