Retired Santa Barbara Fire Captain Mike Moses Dies

Retired Santa Barbara City Fire Captain Mike Moses passed away from job-related cancer on December 6th. He was at home surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle that started in 2010. Moses began his career with the SBFD in 1984. He was promoted to captain in 1996, and was assigned to the truck company. In all, Moses spent 27 years with the department. He was also a lifeguard, dedicating his life to public safety. Moses was promoted to captain in 1996 and was assigned to the truck company. His career was cut short when diagnosed with cancer in 2010 when he retired to focus on his health and family.
