A person died this morning in Portola Valley when a vehicle went 300 feet down the side of a cliff, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The first report of the crash came in at 11:01 a.m. on state Highway 35, also known as Skyline Boulevard, at Old La Honda Road. Firefighters are working to extricate the body from the vehicle and the San Mateo County coroner’s office has been called to the scene, CHP officials said.
