An 84-year-old man was missing, and a 74-year-old woman sustained smoke inhalation injuries after a fire ripped through a Mount Washington home Thursday night, authorities said. Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said on Friday morning that the elderly man remained missing, but authorities will continue to search as the sun rises and they stabilize the home. The woman, Humphrey said, was pulled from a window “moments before it flashed over (with fire)” adding it was “amazing” she was in fair condition. The fire was reported at 8:35 p.m. at 4057 Sea View Avenue at a three-level home with what were believed to be 12 residents, according to a series of Los Angeles Fire Department alerts on Thursday night. The fire was knocked down at 11:22 p.m., authorities said.
