A fire that destroyed two apartments and forced two women to jump from a second story window is still under investigation this evening. Firefighters say they received the call just before 1 a.m. at the Anderson Meadows Apartments off Highway 273. The fire destroyed two units and displaced about eight residents which are staying in hotels or with family members tonight. “Our roof is gone, you can see the hole,” said Kristopher Lane, whose apartment burned. “They had to just tear everything out of there to make sure that the fire was gone.” Lane moved into Anderson Meadows Lane Apartment about a year ago.
