CAL FIRE officers arrested Jessica Fore, 34, Monday on suspicion of arson after a fire in Happy Valley.
Around noon Monday, firefighters were called to a vegetation fire near Olinda Road and Erma Lane. They contacted a woman they saw walking away from the fire when they arrived.
The fire, which only burned a large spot, was put out by a passerby before firefighters got to the scene. CAL FIRE said that kept the fire from spreading too far during the hot, dry and windy conditions.
Fore was booked into the Shasta County jail on suspicion of arson as well as two outstanding felony warrants.
