Bill Hack, Chico’s former fire chief, has been hired as fire chief for the cities of Rocklin and Lincoln. Hack will begin his new duties Monday and will succeed Kurt Snyder, who is retiring in September, according a joint Rocklin-Lincon news release. Snyder was the first chief to oversee both the Rocklin and Lincoln departments under a shared fire services agreement that began in 2016. The agreement allows the departments to share management staff, including a chief, a computer-aided dispatch system and other resources, the release said. “Taking on the role of fire chief for the cities of Rocklin and Lincoln is a great honor, privilege and opportunity,” Hack said in a statement.
