Following the resignation of Russian River Fire Protection District (RRFPD) chief Max Ming two weeks ago, its directors have announced the district’s three captains will share the job of fire chief.
The captains, Rob Cassady, Ryan Lantz and Travis Wood, will share the chief’s role an interim basis while the district makes plans for permanent leadership, said board president Chuck Limbert.
The decision comes after Ming resigned earlier this month from his employment contract with the Forestville Fire Protection District, which shared Ming’s services with the Russian River district.
