A car-wash employee was removed by firefighters from a mechanical track that pulls vehicles along that he had gotten stuck in on Thursday, Dec. 28.
The employee got stuck shortly before 1 p.m. at the car wash on La Palma Avenue near Yorba Linda Boulevard.
“Looks like the front of the track pulled him from the ankle down,” said Capt. Larry Kurtz of the Orange County Fire Authority.
The track is fixed to the concrete floor.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to cut some railing off and free the man’s foot, Kurtz said. The employee, in his 20s, was taken to the hospital so his foot and ankle area could be evaluated.
