With 75 years worth of public service with the fire service and law enforcement, Michael Roppolo decided to retire from this part of his career.
Roppolo is the senior vice president of ABM, but on the side, he was also a volunteer Lieutenant with the El Dorado Hills Fire Department.
When he was a kid, Roppolo was interested in law enforcement and the fire service from watching the shows ‘Adam 12’ and ‘Emergency!’ because of the brotherhood of both professions. After high school, he thought his chosen career path would be law enforcement. Instead, he received a business degree. He then realized he could be a reserve as well.
“I thought I could make my career decision as time went on to see which profession I wanted to purse,” he said. “I had the best of both worlds. I enjoyed them all and couldn’t give any of them up.”
