A former Redlands firefighter has taken a plea deal agreeing to testify against his girlfriend in the slaying of her husband.
Jonathan Hearn, 26, of Hesperia accepted a plea deal Jan. 9 in a Bakersfield court in exchange for his testimony against Sabrina Limon, 37, who was arrested and has pleaded not guilty in the case.
She is scheduled to be back in court Friday for a hearing, records show.
Prosecutors dropped murder charges against Hearn and he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, attempted murder, poisoning and accessory for a sentence of 25 years and four months in prison, said Kern County Deputy District Attorney Eric Smith.
Robert Limon was found shot to death at a Tehachapi railway building on Aug. 17, 2014.
