ATF has determined that the two fires that broke out at a construction site on San Pablo Avenue were intentionally set.
The fires broke out at 3800 San Pablo Avenue.
On July 6, 2016, firefighters responded to a six-alarm structure fire at the apartment complex development.
Then on May 13, 2017, firefighters responded again to a massive fire at the same site.
Surveillance video captured an image of a person who authorities believe may be the arsonist. That person was seen entering the premises just before the May 13 fire.
“After examining all the evidence, ATF has determined the cause of the May 13th fire to be incendiary, meaning that it was intentionally set and is considered an act of arson,” ATF San Francisco Field Division, Special Agent in Charge Jill A. Snyder said.
