More than 100 people attended a city budget hearing on June 6, where Roseville Fire Chief Rick Bartee and other city officials discussed possible cuts to the department.
Roseville’s proposed 2017-18 budget, which the city council is expected to vote on June 21, includes an $800,000 reduction in overtime expenses for the fire department.
City officials and members of the Roseville Firefighters Local 1592 have met at least four times in recent months to discuss having three firefighters, rather than four, respond to calls on the city’s two ladder trucks.
