A historic building that caught fire on Tuesday night is still standing, but will require major inside renovations after flames burned on both its floors. At around 10:43 p.m. a Cal Fire-Butte County engine responded to a report of flames at The Depot Restaurant and Cafe in Magalia. The building that is over a century old, is on the corner of Old Skyway and Skyway right before the bridge that leads to town. Capt. Matt Bergstrand said that the crew was able to contain the fire within an hour of arriving on scene.
