A firefighter attacking a You Bet Road blaze on Wednesday was taken to the hospital after he fell, a Cal Fire official said.
Firefighters responded around 11:05 a.m. to the blaze in the 15000 block of You Bet Road. The residents had fled the two-story home when first-responders began attacking the fire, a communications operator said.
At some point a firefighter with the Ophir Hill Fire Protection District fell, leading others to remove him from the home and take him to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. The firefighter’s condition is unknown, the operator added.
