A husband and wife were injured when the husband pulled his wife from a burning mobile home in Glenn County early Thursday.
It happened around 12:10 a.m. at a home in the 4800 block of County Road N in Orland. Firefighters said the fire was put out around 2:30 a.m., but some crews had to return to the scene around 4 a.m. because the fire started back up again.
The husband said his wife suffered burns to 20 percent of her body as well as smoke inhalation. She was taken to Enloe Medical Center in Chico, before being airlifted to U.C. Davis Medical Center. The husband also suffered burns, and their 14-year-old son suffered smoke inhalation.
Firefighters said if it hadn't been for her husband pulling her out of the home, the wife would have perished.
