Several off-duty San Bernardino County Fire personnel at a three-day country music festival rendered aid and helped evacuate the injured immediately following the deadly Las Vegas shooting that killed 50 people and wounded more than 100 late Sunday night. “We couldn’t be be more proud of their efforts!” posted Deputy Chief John Chamberlin on Facebook soon after reports of the shooting began to surface. His post was then shared by the union, San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Local 935. The post also indicated that a family member of a county fire worker had been struck “multiple times.” “Among the dead is an LVMPD officer who was off-duty at the time,” according to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
