Hemet fire chief placed on administrative leave

Hemet Fire Chief Scott Brown was reported to have been placed on paid administrative leave after the Hemet City Council meeting Tuesday, March 27, with Battalion Chief Kevin Kuhlman being named as interim chief, according to the Hemet City manager's office. There was no immediate reason given with all references to the report being referred to Hemet City Manager Allan Parker, who was in a closed meeting at the Hemet City Hall early Tuesday. Battalion Chief Kuhlman did not comment and referred the Valley News for all information about Chief Brown's status to the city manager's office. Chief Brown last week gave a report to the Valley News on the Hemet Fire Department's progress on improving the department's firefighter and rescue services with the help of Measure U funding
