Pasadena firefighters took part in the Triennial Airport Emergency Plan Full-Scale Exercise at the Hollywood Burbank Airport Wednesday, shortly after three Osprey tilt-rotor military aircraft and two U.S. Marine helicopters used during President Trump’s California trip landed there.
Dozens of officials from airline companies, first-aid nonprofits, the Burbank and Glendale city councils and the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, which manages the airport, gathered at the adjacent B-6 Parcel to observe airport safety personnel perform the emergency response exercise, according to media reports.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires all airports to conduct an emergency exercise every three years to ensure that assigned safety personnel and mutual aid agencies that support them are prepared to respond to major airport incidents.
