A man rescued from a burning mobile home in Spring Valley was detained and being questioned Friday morning on suspicion of intentionally sparking the blaze, authorities said.
Witnesses reported the fire just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the mobile home park on Jamacha Boulevard near Calavo Drive, southwest of Rancho San Diego, San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Kotaro Murashige said. Firefighters from the San Miguel Fire Protection District responded to the scene along with deputies from the sheriff's department's Rancho San Diego substation. 10News reported that when the emergency crews arrived on scene,several neighbors told them the resident of the burning mobile home was still inside.
