an Mateo County Fire Department crews raced to the scene of a two-alarm fire in Moss Beach early Tuesday morning, where a family was sleeping inside.
The father was burned in the fire, first reported at 2:55 a.m. in the 200 block of Lancaster Boulevard, firefighters said.
He was airlifted to the hospital. A neighbor heard the family run into the street. "Somebody was screaming fire and I came out," said Arturo Mul. "It was a small fire, I grabbed the hose and tried to put it out. But it kept growing."
The home is a total loss, the fire gutted the entire inside. In the backyard, there are a few flamingos standing.
