Finding beauty in the ashes; that's exactly what Shane Edwards and his friend Shane Grammar did after Edwards lost his home to the Camp Fire that ignited in Butte County on November 8. Edwards lived on Clark Road in Paradise and lost everything in the Camp Fire. He doesn't have insurance but through it all he says he continues to have faith. Over 19,000 structures were destroyed by the Camp Fire, the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California's history. "I have a friend named Shane Grammar that I've known for several years and he is a great artist. He saw some photos that I posted on Facebook of my home and he contacted me about painting something on my fireplace to symbolize that there is still beauty among ashes," Edwards said.
