Police in Santa Ana arrested a man suspected of starting a fire at his neighbor's property using a Molotov cocktail-style device.
Danny Noriega, 61, of Santa Ana now faces arson charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Dec. 15, 2018, at a home in the 2700 block of W. Maywood Avenue.
Police say the resident at the home looked outside after hearing a loud noise and saw a small fire near his parked car. He quickly put out the fire using a water hose before calling police, said investigators. Santa Ana police added that Noriega was captured on the home's surveillance video throwing a lit object, similar to a Molotov cocktail that contained an incendiary device, over the fence before leaving the scene on a bicycle.
