An arson-set fire targeting one car early Sunday morning in an Ontario hotel parking lot spread to other vehicles, with as many as seven burned, authorities said. No injuries were reported from the blaze in the parking lot near the Azure Hotel & Suites at 1945 E. Holt Blvd. from the fire, called in at 1:50 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene nine minutes after it was reported and had it knocked down five minutes later, Ontario Fire Department Battalion Chief and spokesman Scotland Roeber said. Three fire engines and one hook-and-ladder truck responded to the call, the latter on an initial report that the fire had spread to the hotel, but flames did not reach the structure. “It looks like one vehicle was targeted, and a couple of cars next to it were burned,” Ontario Police Lt. David McBride said by phone Sunday.
