Firefighters in Trumbull will be able to save more than just people when they’re presented with new pet oxygen mask sets Tuesday. Connecticut Emergency Animal Response Service (EARS) will present six new sets of pet oxygen masks on Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. The presentation will happen at the Long Hill fire station at 6315 Main St. The new oxygen masks will be kept on response trucks for the town. EARS is a Connecticut-based organization with on-call volunteers available 24/7. Their purpose is to respond to animal emergencies. Jon Nowinski, director of operations for EARS, said the organization has the only animal ambulance available in the state.
