Residents and their pets of a Stadley Rough Road house were displaced Tuesday after a fire swept through their home.
The second-alarm fire reported around 5:30 p.m. Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the house when they arrived.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Danbury fire marshal’s office.
“All occupants and their pets are safe, but unfortunately will be displaced until repairs are made,” according to the Danbury Fire Department.
According to Danbury property records, the five-room house house at 43 Stadley Rough Road was built in 1937. The house has 2,100 square feet of living space and three bedrooms.
