A fire that heavily damaged a garage near a home on Adams Road on Thursday night appears to be accidental, according to a fire official. Firefighters made an “excellent” stop of flames that consumed a garage and threatened to spread to a home at 50 Adams Road at about 10:45 p.m. Fire Marshal Kim Calabrese said the fire began on the outside of the building and ignited accidentally, citing the excellent work by firefighters who limited the damage to the garage. Two homeowners inside the building at the time were unharmed and made it out safe.
