A person was transported by hospital by Life Star after reportedly crashing their car into a tree in Lebanon Friday morning, firefighters said.
At 12:46 a.m., crews were dispatched to Trumbull Highway in the area of Diane Drive, Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department said in a press release.
Fire officials said the first arriving fire officer found a car on its side on top of a person.
The victim was conscious but had minor injuries, officials said, and LifeStar was dispatched to the scene.
Crews worked to stabilize the vehicle, officials said, and the jaws of life were used with coordinated cribbing to lift the vehicle off of the victim.
Firefighters used additional tools and were able to free the victim in 31 minutes, officials said.
Once free, the victim was transported by Life Star to a level 1 trauma facility, officials said.
Ambulance 506, Engine Tank 206, Rescue 106, Windham Hospital Paramedic 31, Life Star and Connecticut State Police aided in the rescue.
