Woman Who Owns Site Of North Haven Explosion Thanks First Responders

he North Haven woman whose barn exploded during a police standoff last week shared a letter to the editor with The Courant, thanking first responders and the hospital staff she interacted with after the incident. Deborah Sayre owns the property at 385 Quinnipiac Ave., the site of an explosion and fire that destroyed her home on May 2, sending nine police officers to the hospital and leaving the suspect dead. Her letter thanked North Haven police and firefighters, the South Central Connecticut Regional SWAT team, state police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, North Haven and Hamden’s community emergency response teams and first responders from surrounding towns and communities.
