Four years ago, Alyssa Keleshian Bonomo asked her father, a longtime Greenwich businessman, to advise a friend about breaking into the local retail industry.
He asked if she was crazy for trying to enter such a challenging market, but still took time to talk with her, Keleshian told attendees at Thursday afternoon’s Greenwich Chamber Town Heroes Awards.
Keleshian’s father, Harry Keleshian, died in 2016, but his reputation continues for, among other things, helping turn Greenwich Avenue into a destination. Every year, the chamber recognizes a Greenwich business owner for its achievements with a Harry Keleshian Small Business Award. ... Receiving Public Service Awards were Lt. Erik Maziarz of the Greenwich Fire Department, Sgt. John Thorme of the police department and a crew from Greenwich Emergency Medical Services.
