A late-night garage fire caused damage in the Arbour Park neighborhood of Newark on Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to the 600 block of Arbour Drive around 11:45 p.m. and found flames coming from a garage attached to a two-story, single-family home, according to an Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company spokesman.
A smoke detector alerted occupants of the home, who were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived.
No one was injured, and firefighters from Aetna, Christiana and Mill Creek fire companies quickly brought the blaze under control.
The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
