A house fire just west of Dover has left three people injured, including a teenager and a local firefighter who responded to the blaze early Wednesday morning.
According to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office, members of the Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company arrived to find a home in the 2,900-block of Kenton Road fully on fire shortly before 1:00 a.m.
A teenage patient who is 14 years old was taken first to Kent General Hospital, then was transferred to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in critical but stable condition. A 42-year-old occupant was in stable condition at Kent General Hospital. Both suffered smoke inhalation and cuts in the fire.
A firefighter suffered minor burns to the hands and face and was in stable condition at Kent General.
