A 37-year-old woman has been charged with setting a four-alarm fire that caused $1 million in damage and displaced multiple residents at Fox Run Apartments and Townhomes in Bear on Sunday.
Deputies from the state Fire Marshal's Office have arrested Teresa C. Iocco and charged her with first-degree arson and three counts of first-degree reckless endangering, all felonies, according to a press release. She was awaiting arraignment as of 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Her brother, Tony Iocco, said Teresa is mentally disabled and living in a group home at Fox Run. He questioned whether she was properly supervised or could be accused of intentionally setting the fire given her condition. “How do you even question somebody who’s like this?" he said. "That’s on the medication that she’s on?”
