One killed, one injured in Pensacola house fire

One person was killed and another was severely injured in an overnight house fire in West Pensacola, according to Escambia County officials. About 1:29 a.m., first responders were notified of a house fire with entrapment in the 700 block of Colbert Avenue. Fire fighters responded and found heavy flames and smoke coming from a mobile home. Fire fighters had the blaze under control by 1:42 a.m., according to county officials. One of the home's occupants died, and another was transported to the hospital with severe burns. The identities of the two victims have not been released. The home was a total loss. The State Fire Marshal's Office and Escambia County Sheriff's Office are investigating the blaze. Gulf Power and the American Red Cross assisted.
