Storms rolled through Central Florida this week, causing some to the capture dramatic weather.
Cindy Holt's surveillance camera captured a bolt of lightning exploding on a roof across the street from her home in the Tuscany Woods subdivision in Daytona Beach. Hearing the boom, she told WESH 2 News she thought her boyfriend, who was pulling into the driveway at the same time, had crashed.
"It was huge, it shook the house I mean, cause when he come in, I thought he had actually hit the garage door," Holt said.
Immediately after the strike, the couple noticed smoke coming from the roof and ran over.
One of them got hold of the residents to alert them and the fire department responded.
