American Medical Response reminded the public that its stations are Official Safe Havens for newborns. The agency commemorated National Adoption Month by issuing a statement regarding their partnership with the nonprofit organization, A Safe Haven for Newborns. Unharmed infants seven days old or younger can be received at any AMR ambulance or station throughout the state of Florida, no questions asked. "We are so proud to partner with this life-saving organization in providing a sanctuary for desperate mothers who want to give their baby a chance at a better life,” AMR Regional Director Terence Romatar said. “Our team of highly trained EMS personnel offers compassionate medical care to mothers and newborns as well as safe transport to surrounding hospitals.”
