A man is behind bars in Leon County, accused of threatening a local firefighter with a pair of scissors.
Officers with the Tallahassee Police Department were dispatched on Wednesday to the intersection of North Macomb and West Tennessee Streets to assist members of the Tallahassee Fire Department.
A TFD firefighter told officers he was trying to medically assess a woman at a bus stop near the intersection when a man began yelling and cursing at him.
The firefighter said the man, later identified as 59-year-old Randall Sullivan, then pulled out a large pair of scissors from his front pocket and began to walk towards him.
According to arrest documents, the firefighter backed up out of fear of being stabbed and Sullivan walked away from the area, continuing to curse at the victim.
