Forsyth County residents will have a chance to comment and review potential projects being considered for funding by SPLOST VIII, the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax to be decided by voters in a referendum this November.
The Forsyth Board of Commissioners scheduled a town hall meeting for 6 p.m. April 12 in Suite 220 at the county administration building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming. A list of projects being considered by commissioners will be presented, based on input taken at 10 public meetings and through an online survey.
The SPLOST is a 1-percent sales and use tax approved by voters for up to six years to raise revenues for designated programs or named capital items, officials said.
