There's a new Deputy Chief in the Statesboro Fire Department.
Bobby Duggar has been promoted from Assistant Chief to Deputy Fire Chief effective Sunday, according to a news release from the department.
Chief Duggar has served over the Training Division, worked as the Assistant Chief and has filled in as the Interim Deputy Fire Chief since former Chief Ronnie Shaw passed away.
In his new job, Deputy Chief Duggar will help with planning, directing and coordinating fire services across the city, as well as filling in for the Fire Chief in his absence.
