As wildfires continue to blaze on the west coast, some Middle Georgia firefighters are headed out there to help. Rainfall in Macon over the last three months has been one and a half times its normal amount, which has freed up midstate firefighters to head west near places like Texas and Colorado to help battle fires in those states. Tracy Mobley, Chief Ranger at the Georgia Forestry Commission in Dry Branch, is fighting fires in Texas and sending his crews for backup where they're needed.
